
Lucie - Grace started dancing at Sidmouth Ballet School when she was 13. At 17 she gained a place at Performers Dance College where she studied for 3 years receiving the girls award in her second and third year. Among lots of commercial work, Lucie - Grace went on to dance in ‘Spirit of the Dance’ touring worldwide.
Lucie - Grace returned to teach at the school in 2002, where she has been ever since and became part owner of the school in 2006, taking on the role of creative partner in charge of the RAD department.
Lynne started dancing with Sidmouth Ballet School when it first opened in 1981, she then went on to study and teach at Stonelands School, where she gained her ISTD Modern Theatre teaching qualification.
She moved back to teach at Sidmouth Ballet School / East Devon Dance in 1995 working alongside Jan and Rae in running the school until their retirement in 2006, when she and Lucie bought the school. She is charge of the day to day running of the school, administration and the ISTD Tap & Modern department.
After leaving Sidmouth Ballet School, Cassie studied at English National Ballet School, whilst there she gained Honours in Benesh Notation,Elementary solo reading examination, National Certificate in Professional Dance-classical ballet. A level dance - A. She was selected to perform at a gala in Florence Italy, where she was spotted by the Director of La Scala Ballet Company in Milan Italy who offered her a contract with them.
Whilst dancing at La Scala she performed in Sylvie Guillem’s Giselle (with the amazing lady herself ), Sleeping Beauty and the Italian Ballet Excelsior, which they also performed in Genoa Italy and at the Opera Paris de National in Paris. She has also had contracts with English National Ballet where she performed in their Swan Lake in the round at the Royal Albert Hall, and Ballet Ireland where she toured all around the Uk and Ireland.
Cassie has since then gone on to gain her Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies (CBTS) with the Royal Academy of Dance and also passed her RAD Advanced 2 Ballet exam to gain her ARAD status.
Amelia has been a student of the school since the age of three, and been with us ever since. She is an amazing Contemporary and Street choreographer, with an ability to choreograph beautiful thought provoking dances (and full on sassy ones too!). She is also a qualified Arcrobatic Arts coach.
Rachael was a former student of Sidmouth Ballet School where she acheived her Majors ballet exams. We are pleased to say that since her daughters started classes with us, her passion for dancing returned, so the next thing was to teach.
Rachael teaches our Melody Bear and lower grades ballet and scholars, and is a fully qualified Royal Academy of Dancing teacher.
